The Newtown Tigers are a football team who haven't won a game all season. They just seem to have an awful lot of bad luck. When their coach can't make it to the game, his five year old daughter fills in and makes some changes.This is a chapter book from the Aussie Nibbles series, which was created by Puffin to encourage young readers who are moving from picture books to chapter books. The print is large and there are loads of illustrations. (The Aussie Bites series is the next step up). The books are easily recognisable by the 'bite/nibble' taken out of the top of the front cover. They are very popular and a great way of encouraging confidence in young children.
